Russian Cat Names

So you’ve decided to adopt a cat from the local shelter and name it Bob. But what if you want to give the feline a name that’s a little more exotic (maybe even Russian)?

If you have an actual Russian cat, it makes things even easier. The Russian cat is a beautiful animal with a long and distinguished history.

Unlike most other breeds, the Russian cat is not a descendant of wild cats but was created by monks hundreds of years ago to catch mice in their monasteries.

There is a lot of variety within this breed, and the markings and coloring of individual cats can be quite stunning. This means that there are many potential Russian cat names to choose from.

The following list is not exhaustive, but it does contain many of the best suggestions we have found.
